Kitchen Quick Tips - Dip Presentation

When serving vegetable and fruit dips think outside of the bowl. Use scooped-out fruits (eg. green peppers, leeks, melons, citrus fruits) and vegetables as serving dishes for dips.

You mean I can't just pull out my worn out plastic ware and dump the fruits and veggies in? That's so convenient. :)

No you can't! Heavens to Betsy! Seriously it will make for a nicer presentation especially when entertaining and it will give you a few less dishes to wash. You will also get a lot of comments on even the simplest of dips because of the presentation. Even if you use this simple, low cost presentation for your immediate family they will think you went to great lengths to please them :) Take a look at the stew I presented in a bread bowl and the classic way to serve spinach dip is in a hollowed out loaf of bread.

Repeat after me "No more plastic for dips" :)
