Kitchen Quick Tips - Bread Glazes
Before baking bread: For a dark, shiny glaze, brush on 1 beaten egg yolk. For shine without colour, brush on 1 egg white mixed with 1 tbsp water.
While bread is still hot: For a softer crust, brush with butter.
